Hezmon Animation is a Chinese animation studio, founded by Lihang Chen, Liangzi and Xiaofei Hou. The studio is trying to produce high quality film in Chinese style, and The Song of The Rain is the first short film of the studio. We are determined to keep the studio running in low budget, developing new pipelines to meet the changing market. However, Chinese culture and arts will always be the core of Hezmon’s works because the studio’s original aspiration is to present more about China to the world. We are glad to receive feedback from audiences over the world, and they inspire us to work harder and bring better films. 6 years ago, Liangzi, the director, worked for the other Chinese animation studio which produced science fiction animations. After leaving that company, he found his own interests in Chinese culture, then formed a partnership with Lihang Chen. Together, Hezmon Animation was founded. The next short film we are currently working on is about a love story with backgrounds of environmental issues in China. In the future, our goal is to make our own animation movies.
